All of his films, such as; The Grand Budapest Hotel, Fantastic Mr. Fox, and Moonrise Kingdom include techniques that not many other directors use. The soundtracks of his movies are amazing. The thing about Wes Anderson is that he isn't just a director, he is an artist. He sees things in a different perspective and I love that about him. |
2. Alfred Hitchcock Psycho
Alfred Hitchcock is best known for his classic horror films. His black and white masterpieces have been used as inspiration for many different films. He created these movies not only to appeal to audiences but to attract people to his ever-growing genre. His films have been known to be some of the most iconic films ever made. I put him on this list because his movies have shown me the true diversity of horror films. |
3. Tim Burton Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barbor of Fleet Street
Tim Burton is a name associated with dark comedy and quirky horror films. He is one of my favorites because he gave me inspiration in art. I had trouble finding something that i wanted to do, and he somehow showed me what my artistic style is. His movies supported me through childhood, and helped make me who I am today. Tim Burton has an extremely diverse style ranging from animation to horror to pure comedy. His dark humor has made him a very iconic director of this generation. |
4. Stanley Kubrick The Shining
The Shining is my all time favorite horror film. I don't really like horror movies but this psychological thriller by Stanley Kubrick is absolutely amazing. His movies have been praised all over the world. He was an inspiration for many different directors. Stanley Kubrick was a director that not only told a story, he showed it in a way that the audience could relate to. His movies are psychological and make the audience consider all of the possible outcomes of the plot. |
5. Quinten Tarantino Pulp Fiction
Quinten Tarantino is a name that almost everyone knows. His gory movies display a whole other perspective on the action/adventure genre. I especial love Tarantino because his films tend to be very artistic. They normally have very specific camera movements and colors. All of his films have been highly praised. |
